Teepees and Sheepskins
Product of the week is really a teepee set up that we have in my daughters room made up of a few beautiful products. I really wanted to have a quiet space in Billie's room for a few different reasons...
It's aesthetically welcoming to children (and adults). Something about a teepee draws you inside and makes you want to stay. I also understand the importance for teaching Billie that quiet time can happen any time of the day, and having her own space to play independently encourages more mindful moments. As the space is just big enough for Billie and one adult, or two more children, small group play is also inspired. Often I find Billie inside and Daddies legs dangling out as they read together. It's moments like these that melt my heart.
Teepee's are so popular now that you can pick them up at loads of different places. I really wanted a simple, natural teepee, so that it doesn't take over the room, but feels more organic in the space. Having a more natural colour also means that those little details become even more special. I can't remember the exact site I got this teepee from but you can get a similar one from mocka. The cosy and comfy sheepskins inside were a gift and make the space so inviting.
Hanging on the top is an amazing 'teepee dreamer' that say's 'Billie's Teepee'. I just LOVE this little sign and the hanging feathers. Zilvi make these and so many other beautiful pieces. If you haven't heard about them before, do yourself a favour and have a look.
To complete the look I have added some LED fairy lights around the entrance. I got these from eBay for about $4. I think it completes the space making it magical and enchanting.
