Having an organised nappy bag can make the difficult task of getting out of the house with a newborn much easier. Restocking and organising your bag when you come home from an outing, can save you time and stress when leaving the house. If you always have your staples in the bag then a quick trip to the shops or cafe won't leave you running around the house like a mad hatter, or unthinkably, out and about with no nappies.
When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I did a lot of research about the different nappy bags on the market. There are so many different types with so many different functions that the whole experience can be overwhelming. Not to mention it has to match your own style. This is a bag you will use more than any other bag over the next few years so getting something just for the hell of it, seems to be a waste. I had heard many different people tell me that they got a nappy bag but it had so many different pockets, zips and snaps, that they became frustrated searching for something. One friend had even reverted to using a reusable shopping bag because the nappy bag was such a pain. This is why I decided to go with a tote. A tote is a bag that can have many functions so it doesn't have to be used as just a 'nappy bag'. Firstly for myself. There is a small zipped pouch which is where I keep my own lip balm, extra hair ties, bobby pins and perfume. I also have my wallet and keys thrown in as well.
I got these bags from Mishmash Designs on Etsy. They are super cute and she has a range of colours and styles.
