You can buy these on etsy from Little Elephant Crafts in the US, however due to time and not knowing exactly how many I would need, I decided to attempt to make them myself. A trip to South Melbourne Market (something I wouldn't suggest in the first trimester of pregnancy) and some fiddly crafts and I was able to have little pregnancy announcements. If you would like a tutorial on how I made these let me know in the comments below. Everyone who received an egg was very impressed although instead of being excited by the news, the questions of "how did you get the note inside the egg?" was the first thing everyone commented on. Don't worry, excitement did follow.

Clearly we're a Nike family. We didn't add a comment with the photo but it didn't take long for people to start congratulating us, and those who didn't understand the photo cottoned on pretty quickly.
